Use Me Oh, God

I’m excited about my accomplishments. It is however difficult to celebrate without thinking about the heaviness that plagues us. My achievements mean very little if they don’t impact the nation for the greater good. God, help me to use my voice and the canvas by which you have given me a platform to make a real difference.

Inspire me Lord, to take a step each day towards progress and change. Let my mouth speak louder than injustice and my pen scribble declarations of love where there is hatred. May I stand behind the pulpit of righteousness and make a proclamation to eradicate the bigotry of racism and violence in a world filled with ignorance about the value of human life.

Use me, oh God to stand up while others sit down. Use me, oh God to take a knee as I bow in submission to God’s authority to vindicate us as a people. Use me oh

, God to lie across the bridge of separation and scream with a loud voice, “what happened to one nation under God with liberty and justice for all?” Use me oh, God at the grave of every person slain and slaughtered to bring healing, hope and love. Use me oh, God...I stand crying out to you in pain and anguish, make me a vessel to do your will.
